17-year-old girl rape case: 15 days judicial custody for main accused

Coimbatore: Justice Radhika of Mahila Court here on Tuesday ordered 15 days judicial custody for Manikandan who allegedly is the main accused in the 17-year-old girl rape case in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: Justice Radhika of Mahila Court here on Tuesday ordered 15 days judicial custody for Manikandan who allegedly is the main accused in the 17-year-old girl rape case in Coimbatore. 



While four of the accused were already arrested, Manikandan who is regarded to be the A1 was absconding. On Tuesday morning, he surrendered at Mahila Court here. 

Following which, the Justice ordered 15 days judicial custody. He was later sent to Coimbatore Central Jail.
