The Nilgiris: Due to multiple landslides on Mettupalayam (MTP) - Coonoor road, the road has been temporarily closed for repair purposes and all vehicle are diverted via MTP - Kotagiri road.
The Nilgiris: Due to multiple landslides on Mettupalayam (MTP) - Coonoor road, the road has been temporarily closed for repair purposes and all vehicle are diverted via MTP - Kotagiri road.
Landslides at Marapalam and Lal's Palms on MTP-Coonoor road have severely damaged the roads and more than five trees have reported to have uprooted along the road. While, repair works are on going on war footing, all vehicles to Coonoor and Ooty are diverted via Kotagiri road.
The motorists are adviced to drive with extreme caution due to traffic congestion on Kotagiri road and slippery road conditions.
