Chennai: The Twitter account of Arappor Iyakkam, the whistle blower organisation who have been exposing about various scandals involving Ministers, government officials and political parties was suspended with effect from Thursday night alleging that certain posts and videos posted by the organisation has violated copy right rules with reference to movies including latest Vijay starrer Bigil.

Speaking on this, Jeyaram Venkatesan, Convenor- Arappor Iyakkam stated that "There has been a concerted attack on the organisation to stop us from exposin the scams. Among several hindrances imposed on us, this is the latest. Over the last three days, many of our posts in twitter have been removed, citing copy right violations."
He also added that a post by us published in September 2018 was removed referring to copy right norms of Bigil. Similarly, we had posted videos of DMK flags posing danger to public when Subashree a techie in Chennai died after she met with an accident caused by an AIADMK functionarie’s banner. Even that video was removed citing the same reason.”
Jayaram further explained that "We were told that our twitter account was suspended after I flex, a reporting agency for Twitter has complained against us of copy right violations against their client AGS movies with reference to the movie Bigil. Similarly, it was alleged that we had violated copy right of a Kannada film, too. Twitter has reporting agencies like I flex which act like middle men and Twitter blindly initiates action without cross checking the date. We have filed our concern to Twitter and waiting reply", added Jayaraman.
