Corporation seals shops for non-payment of rent

Tirupur: Tirupur Corporation officials on Wednesday sealed 15 shops operating at corporation-owned buildings for non-payment of rent.

Tirupur: Tirupur Corporation officials on Wednesday sealed 15 shops operating at corporation-owned buildings for non-payment of rent. 



Shop owners in Old Bus Station, New Bus Station, Mattu Kottai, Bharatiyar Commercial Complex, Jaiwabai Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School, Tirupur Municipality have huge amount of rent dues and have not paid them despite repeated orders. 



As they paid no heed to the notices, the Corporation officials led by Thangavel, revenue department commissioner sealed 15 shops. 

The action by the Corporation set the alarm bells ringing among the shop owners who had been served with similar notices.
