School and college students held banners and took part in the awareness rally which began from the Ooty railway station and ended at the Tribal Cultural Center, near the Ooty Government Botanical Garden.
The rally was organized by the Department of Excise and Prohibition. Folk artistes performed to raise public awareness on the dangers of consuming alcohol.
After inaugurating the rally, Innocent Divya distributed leaflets to the public on the ill-effects of alcohol.
