Dindigul: The rope car services at the Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy temple at Palani in Dindigul district which has been halted for maintenance work have resumed.
Dindigul: The rope car services at the Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy temple at Palani in Dindigul district which has been halted for maintenance work have resumed.
Thousands of devotees throng the Palani temple and for the benefit of elderly devotees and children who visit the temple, rope car services had been arranged. It is usually suspended for one day in a month and one month in a year for maintenance purposes.
Meanwhile, though the monthly and yearly maintenance work had been completed, the drive shaft of the rope car was found to be at fault and services were suspended immediately.
The repair work was undertaken in the last few days after which a trial ride of the rope car took place. The temple administration has announced that the trial ride was satisfactory and hence the rope car services will be resumed either from this evening or tomorrow morning.
