Coimbatore: The workers of Ayarpadi tea estate in Valparai were left in shock, this morning after the ATM in their area was forced open in a burglary attempt.
In a bid to facilitate cash withdrawal for thousands of employees working in Ayarpadi Tea Estate in Valparai, an ATM belonging to Axis bank was opened on November 9 near Ayarpadi post office.
This morning, while few employees visited the ATM to withdraw cash they were shocked of the burglary attempt in the ATM and alerted the police.
Valparai DSP Vivekanandan, Inspector Bala Murugan and team visited the spot and have commenced investigation. The forensic experts who rushed to the spot are collecting fingerprints on the ATM door.
The burglary attempt has perturbed the residents of the hilly terrain.
