Coimbatore: Food Safety Officers on Friday sealed a drinking water packaging company for operating under different names without obtaining due permission at 15, Velampalayam road near Tirupur.
Acting upon a tip off, the District Food Safety officials headed by Designated officer Vijaya Lalithambiga conducted an inspection at a drinking water station operating in 15 Velampalayam, near Tirupur.
During the inspection, the authorities found that the plant had been operating without obtaining FSSAI certifications.
It was found that the drinking water plant had been involved in selling water cans under different names and cheating people. The officers confiscated 20 litre water cans from the premises and sealed the company
