Coimbatore: More than 500 members of Popular Front of India (PFI) courted arrest for protesting without permission against the Babri Masjid verdict.

The cadres of PFI staged a protest at the ATC area here against the Supreme Court verdict. Police have arrested more than 50 people who were involved in the demonstration without permission from the police.
In a similar protest in Tirupur by PFI, over 300 cadres were arrested for staging a demonstration in front of Tirupur Corporation on Friday.
Security has been tightened across the country following the most sensitive verdict of the country, the Ayodhya Babri Masjid which was pronounced by a five justice bench including CJI, Ranjan Gogoi on November 9.
