The area that was filled with a host of plants with many species of butterflies was one of the main reasons to install a butterfly feeder at the lakeside.
Seeing the vegetation being cleared, some nature enthusiasts had objected the move. However, those involved in the act said that they had obtained prior permission from CCMC, who is also ironically involved in nature conservation activities at the lake.
Though the act was vehemently opposed by activists, all efforts vent in vain. They sought the intervention of the district administration on the issue and demanded that no such activities happen in the future for the conversation of flora and fauna at the lake site.
