Coimbatore :A 16-foot King Cobra that was rescued from a private farm in Narasipuram was released in deep forest here yesterday.
The snake was found hiding near a shed at a farmhouse belonging to Dinesh Kumar who alerted foresters and the snake rescuers. A team lead by snake rescuer, Santhosh Kumar headed to the spot.
Santhosh Kumar cautiously handled the snake and put it inside a sack cloth. The snake was later taken near Vaidheki falls near Siruvani foothills where it was released.
Local people who witnessed the capture appreciated Santhosh Kumar for carrying out the rescue operation successfully.
