Upon orders of Corporation Commissioner and Special officer J. Sravan Kumar to ensure shops are not using banned plastic bags, Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Kanagaraj (Central Zone) inspected shops today in Ward 48.
During the inspection, banned plastic covers below 50 microns were found to be used in a wholesale shop located in Jeevanandam street. The team of officials seized the bags and imposed fine to the shopkeeper.
