Tirupur: Hundreds of school students participated in the district level swimming competition held in Tirupur.
The competition for schools was held at the Swimming Training School at Periyar Colony in Tirupur on behalf of the Tirupur District School Education Department and the Tirupur District Swimming Association.
Swimming competitions were held under various categories. Hundreds of school students from both Government and private schools participated in the competition. Medals and certificates were distributed to the winners of the competition. Significantly, students who won the first two places in various categories have been chosen to participate in the state level swimming competition to be held in Chennai next month.
