Coimbatore: In a tragic accident, a 30-year-old woman sustained severe injuries after she stumbled from her two wheeler to avoid from being hit by a faltering AIADMK flag pole near Goldwins here on Monday.
Coimbatore: In a tragic accident, a 30-year-old woman sustained severe injuries after she stumbled from her two wheeler to avoid from being hit by a faltering AIADMK flag pole near Goldwins here on Monday.
On Monday morning, Rajeshwari alias Anuradha (30) from Singanallur was on her way to her work place at Chinniyampalayam here. It is alleged that Anuradha lost balance of her two-wheeler after she saw a AIADMK flag pole falter and was about to fall in front of her vehicle.
In the commotion, she slipped off from her two-wheeler and was run over by a water lorry that was behind her. The lorry reportedly ran over her leg causing grievous injuries.
The public who witnessed the incident rescued her and rushed to her a private hospital nearby and alerted the police.
The Peelamedu police have registered a case and are investigating.
