Coimbatore: Two men were arrested by the Valparai police for operating a bar in a tourist cottage without permit, while the owner of the cottage is reportedly absconding.

The Intelligence Unit Police found out that a cottage in Sheikal Mudi road of Rottikadai area in Valparai had a bar that was operational within the cottage, but was being run illegally. Following this, Valparai Inspector Balamurugan carried out a sudden inspection at the Rottikadai area. It was then found out that the 'Honey Bee Cottage' in the area was operating a bar without permission.

Two employees of the cottage Ajeeth (22) and Akshay (22) were arrested and an intensive interrogation is being carried out. Police are on the lookout for Philip (43) and the owner of the cottage, George.
