On Saturday, a herd of elephants on the narrow road between Manjoor road to Geddai disrupted the traffic for three hours and the situation turned further chaotic after one of the elephant began to chase the motorists.
The public, motorists who regularly use the route and bus drivers have requested the forest officials to monitor the herd and chase them into dense forests to avoid any untoward incidents.
The motorists especially two-wheeler drivers have been cautioned to drive with care, as the elephant herd could cause trouble.
