The intelligence agency had warned that movement of Maoists have been on the rise in the Western Ghats recently. A few days ago, four Maoists were shot dead in the firing that took place between Thunderbolt police and Maoists in the Palakkad district of Kerala. Three in the Maoist group escaped.
One among them named Deepak who had been injured in the fire exchange is reportedly hiding in the forest. The Kerala Thunderbolt police are actively searching for the three absconding Maoists.
Meanwhile, video footage and pictures of Maoist Deepak having been trained in gunfire was reportedly obtained from the pen drives recovered from the Maoists during the encounter. Thereon, the video has gone viral on social media.
