Confidential information was obtained by the police that some mysterious men were walking around with guns at an estate in Kolakombai, near Coonoor. Subsequently, a police team led by Police Inspector, Aaru Sami and Special Police Assistant Inspector, Saravanan launched an intense search for the men. Krishnamurthy from Bhavani estate, Ramesh from Karumpalam and Raghu from Solatti were nabbed and interrogated at the Kolakombai police station.
Two country guns, 13 bullets, two knives, one spear and ammunition used to make bombs were confiscated from them. The police booked them for possession of unlicensed guns as well as under prohibition of hunting wild animals.
