Police arrest employees who stole cash from courier firm in city

Last Wednesday, it was reported that three masked men looted close to 10-lakhs cash from a courier firm. A team of over a dozen policemen was formed to nab the culprits. The city police has arrested the three employees of this courier firm who reportedly stole close to 10-lakhs. The cash was stolen from one of the offices of this courier firm that is located on Sungam Bypass Road.

D Ramachandran (29) from Ganapathy, A. Amjathkhan (25) from Anaimalai and B Aravindan (23) from Pollachi were arrested by the city police. Ramachandran served as manager in the Pollachi branch of this courier firm. When the employees were interrogated, it came to light that this was a well planned and executed robbery. The police has also recovered some cash, a digital video recorder and a two-wheeler from them.
