Earlier, the execution of Manoharan was stopped by a three-judge bench headed by Justice RF Nariman after Manoharan's lawyer sought more time to the top court to inspect the records of the case which are lying in the concerned trial court.
Making it clear that no more extension of time would be given, the bench consisting of Justices Sanjeev Khanna and Surya Kant granted one last opportunity to the lawyer to argue the case on October 16 since it relates to death penalty.
On the final judgement day, today, the Justices confirmed to hang Manoharan to death.
