Coimbatore: Authorities have ordered action against a professor and the owner a construction company for setting up a borewell without permission near Saravanampatti in Coimbatore.
Professor Prabhakaran owns a land on the Saravanampatti-Sathy road in Peelamedu. The District Revenue Officer, Suresh was informed that a borewell was being constructed at the professor's land without prior permission.
The District Revenue Officer rushed to the scene, inspected and confirmed that a borewell was indeed constructed without permission. Similarly, Tahsildhar Mahesh Kumar also rushed to the spot and after further investigation, it was also revealed that trees were cut near the site to construct the borewell.
Subsequently, the District Revenue Officer summoned the North Zone officials and ordered action against the owner and construction company for constructing the borewell without permission. Following the order, officials have initiated prompt action to arrest Mahalakshmi Constructions owner and the landowner Prabhakaran.
