As the stretch is surrounded with dense forests, the passengers were struck in panic as the herd moved around the bus and blocked the road.

Over 20 vehicles queued up behind the bus waiting for the herd to clear the road. Finally after two hours, the herd gave way to the vehicles.
The public have requested the forest officials to monitor and chase away the elephant herds camping on the forest roads.
