Coimbatore: The CCMC Commissioner and Special Officer, Sravan Kumar Jatavath inspected Ward No.25, 81, 84 and 86 in the South and West Zones of the Coimbatore Corporation.
Coimbatore: The CCMC Commissioner and Special Officer, Sravan Kumar Jatavath inspected Ward No.25, 81, 84 and 86 in the South and West Zones of the Coimbatore Corporation.

He supervised the sanitation workers who were engaged in the disposal of unnecessary items in the Karumbukadai and Saramedu areas in Ward 86 of the South Zone.

He inspected the goat butchering centre in Ukkadam and the Micro Composting Center in the 81st Ward, on Variety Hall Road in the Central Zone which had garden waste and biodegradable debris.

The CCMC Commissioner also inspected the drinking water facility, food and other basic amenities at the old age home in Ward 84 in Kembatty Colony.

He later inspected the work of the sanitary workers who were cleaning the drainage in Sukrawarpet. Later, he inspected the removal of drainage water done by using the drainage suction vehicles in Sukrawarpet in Ward 25 in Central zone.

Upon the order of the CCMC Commissioner, the Central Zone Assistant Commissioner, Mahesh Kanagaraj inspected all the shops in the zone to check for usage of plastic bags below 500 microns and levied a fine of Rs. 50,000 on defaulters.

Sravan Kumar also ordered concerned authorities to clear rainwater clogging at the Lala Garden colony in the 76th ward.
The Deputy Corporation Commissioner, Prasanna Ramasamy, City Engineer Laksmanan, South Zone Assistant Commissioner, T R Ravi, Central Zone Assistant Commissioner, Mahesh Kanagaraj and Central Health Inspector Gunasekaran were present during the inspection.
