Silver Jubilee building of The South India Spinners Association (SISPA) inaugurated

Coimbatore : To mark the silver jubilee celebrations of The South India Spinners Association (SISPA), a new building on Sunday at Gildwuns here. The new facility will be used for Cotton and Yarn testing lab of SISPA.

Coimbatore : To mark the silver jubilee celebrations of The South India Spinners Association (SISPA), a new building on Sunday at Gildwuns here. The new facility will be used for Cotton and Yarn testing lab of SISPA. 

The 6000 sq.ft building was inaugurated by Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman of Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd. With this building, SISPA will now have its own facility with a Cotton and Yarn testing lab. 

Following the inauguration, an event to celebrate 25 years of SISPA was organised at a private hotel in Avinashi road. 

N.Murugesan, President, SISPA delivered the inauguaral address. Speaking at the event, LMW Chairman said "Spinning mills in our country should be upgraded to improve the quality of Indian yarn. Quality of Indian yarn should be improved to match international standards, which would eventually increase yarn export."

D.Rajkumar, Confederation of Indian Industries, Ashwin Chandran, President , Southern India Mills Association, A.P.Appukutty, Tamil Nadu Spinning Mills Association, Past and present members of SISPA were present at the event.
