Nilgiris Mountain Rail Service resumes service after three days

The Nilgiris : After a break of three days, the much-awaited Nilgiris Mountain rail service resumed service from today, Sunday. Over-whelmed by the news, over 100 tourists booked their tickets from Mettupalayam railway junction and enjoyed the mountain rail drive which passes through dense forests and caves to Coonoor and Ooty.

The Nilgiris : After a break of three days, the much-awaited Nilgiris Mountain rail service resumed service from today, Sunday. Over-whelmed by the news, over 100 tourists booked their tickets from Mettupalayam railway junction and enjoyed the mountain rail drive which passes through dense forests and caves to Coonoor and Ooty. 

Multiple landslides on the rail route forced the railway officials to terminate the services from October 31 to November 2. With rains lessened and all debris of the landslides being cleared, the heritage mountain rail resumed services from MTP station at 7:15 am, this morning.
