As a part of the 'World Students day'' AVP Research & Foundation as a part of Kōvai Ārōkkiya today organised 'AyuQUIZ 2016' a quiz competition for school children.
Teams who qualified for the finals fought neck-to-neck, to lift the trophy. However, the team of Reshma MS and Sneha R from CMS Matriculation Higher Sec School, Ganapathy won the coveted PV Rama Varier Trophy. Jitendran K and Aathithya VC from Vidyanikethan Matric Higher Sec School came second and Aadithya V and RV Tharun Kumar from Yuvabharathi Public School finished third.
The quiz contest was organised on the World Students Day to commemorate the birthday of our former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The trophy is instituted in the memory of PV Rama Varier the founder of The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) Ltd.
Dr. PR Krishnakumar, Chairman, AVP Group and Chancellor Avinashilingam University delivered ‘Students Day’ message. In his message he emphasised on the importance of understanding Indian sciences and research.
Kōvai Ārōkkiya is social out-reach initiative of AVP group that works for strong movement for public health and general wellness of citizens of Coimbatore. This quiz program was based on Indian system of medicine was hosted as a part of this initiative and intended to reach-out to the student community on ‘building healthier Coimbatore naturally.’
