Tirupur : Two powerloom workers died on the spot in a road accident after their two-wheeler collided head on with a water tank lorry on Mangalam road in Arasangadu area in Palladam, Tirupur on Friday.
Tirupur : Two powerloom workers died on the spot in a road accident after their two-wheeler collided head on with a water tank lorry on Mangalam road in Arasangadu area in Palladam, Tirupur on Friday.
Manikandan and Ashok from Ammapalayam were riding in a two wheeler on Mangalam road near Tirupur. Reports say, their two-wheeler was hit by a water tank lorry which dragged their bike for a short distance. Both Manikandan and Ashok sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
The police have filed a case and are on the look out for the driver who escaped from the spot. The bodies were retrieved and send to GH for post mortem. The death of the powerloom workers has deeply saddened the people of the area.
