Coimbatore: In a recent order, Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu Government, Girija Vaidhyanadhan has reitrated that men and women working at government offices across TN should wear clean and decent clothes. And, all women employees wearing chudidhar or salwar kameez should compulsorily wear a dupatta.
Coimbatore: In a recent order, Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu Government, Girija Vaidhyanadhan has reitrated that men and women working at government offices across TN should wear clean and decent clothes. And, all women employees wearing chudidhar or salwar kameez should compulsorily wear a dupatta.
Citing complaints and criticism, the TN government earlier imposed a standard dress code for both men and women government employees. In which, men should not wear T-shirts to work and women can wear either saree, chudhiar and salwar kameez to work.
The order also added that men who represent their respective departments at Court should wear formals along with a coat.
In the recent order which comes to force with immediate effect, women employees in Salwar or Chudidhar should hereon wear a dupatta without fail.
