Durairasu, an IFS officer of the 1985 batch has served in various roles in the department for 34 years.
He has served as District Forest Officer, Conservator of Forests, Chief Conservator of Forests, Dean (Forestry) of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Additional PCCF and PCCF, prior to his Managing Directorship in Arasu Rubber Corporation.
He is experienced in Forestry Planning, Project Formulation, Drafting working plan and has authored books on forestry education and agro forestry.
His appointment is effective from today.
