Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a 28-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her husband in front of a private college on the Palakkad Main Road near Kovaipudhur here on Friday.
According to police, the deceased Nandhini was reportedly working in the plumbing department of the college. She was living at Kulathupalayam along with her daughter and son.
Nandhini is alleged to have been in touch with someone over phone for a long time, which has made her husband Kanagaraj (35) angry. Nandhini is also alleged to have made videos in Tiktok app, which developed feud between the duo.
This has resulted in constant quarrels in the family.
On Thursday, Kanagaraj had reportedly called Nandhini over phone. However, she could not be reached. Following this, he had gone to her college with a knife and stabbed in three places in her body.
While Kanagaraj fled from the spot, Nandhini was immediately rushed to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. However, she succumbed to injuries on the way.
Madukkarai Police have arrested Kanagaraj and have started the investigation.
