Tamil Nadu's Assembly election for 22 vacant assembly constituencies which recently concluded resulted in DMK and ADMK winning 13 and 9 constituencies, respectively. The ADMK candidates who won the election were Kandasamy in Sulur, Chinappan in Vilathikulam, Rajavarman in Sattur, Sampath Kumar in Arur, Thenmozhi in Nilakkottai, Nagarajan in Manamadurai, Govindasamy in Pappireddipatti, Sadhan Prabhakaran in Paramakudi and Sampath in Sholingur.
All the victorious ADMK MLAs had their swearing-in ceremony at the Tamil Nadu Chief Secretariat, today. Speaker Danapal led each MLA in taking their oaths, separately. Apart from the Speaker, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and the Deputy Chief Minister O Paneerselvam were present.
