The autopsy process took place in the presence of Dr. Gokul Ram from Salem Government Hospital and Dr. Rajesh from Kanyakumari Government Hospital. After the autopsy, the team of doctors went to the pond in Karamadai where Palanisamy's dead body was found.

Addressing the media, Palanisamy's wife said that the doctors had gone to visit the place where her husband was found dead under mysterious circumstances. She stated that there had been no update on this matter even after the post-mortem has been done. She reiterated that if it was a murder, she wanted her husband's murderers to be apprehended and if it was a suicide, she wanted the Government to take action on the people responsible for it. She also said that the police had not yet conducted an inquiry with Martin and his aides on her husband's death case. She was of the opinion that depending upon the reports by the doctors now, the next step will be taken.
