The App has been launched to make it beneficial for farmers to be aware of both Central and State government welfare schemes as well as plans for the agricultural sector.
The Government of Tamil Nadu recently introduced the 'Uzhavan Seyali' mobile phone App to create awareness among the farmers. This App can be utilized not only by the farmers but others as well. Details regarding various plans granted to the farmers, manure booking, insurance for the crops, price of seeds, price and rent of agricultural tools and market rates are displayed on the App.
