Tirupur: Victims of a scam by a travels agency in the city have approached the Tirupur North Police Station to help them recover their money, as well as passports and other documents from the travel agency.

Manikandan, the Secretary of LIC Consumer Union approached a travels agency 'Travel Craft' owned by Manikandan to book tickets for an international tour sponsored by the Union. Ten lakh rupees was given to the agency for 30 people to travel to Malaysia after the first batch of 35 people finished their tour.
Chandrasekar from Gandhi Nagar is another victim who had paid 28 lakhs to the agency for a trip for his entire family. He was made to go back and forth by the travel agency during the process and ended up postponing the trip. When Chandra Sekar arrived at the travel agency, he found it closed. It was then disclosed that there were a lot of groups who had paid the travel agency for foreign trips and been cheated.
