Coimbatore: A complaint was filed upon Ravikumar, the Assistant Director of the Coimbatore Regional Office (North) for demanding a bribe of Rs.12,000 from Kumar (32), a resident of Nallampalayam, Ganapathy who had built a two-storey house and requested the tax book.

Ravikumar had told Kumar to hand over the money to Balakrishnan (59), a broker from Velandipalayam. On further enquiry, Balakrishnan revealed that Ravikumar was the one who had asked him to collect the money. The police have arrested both Ravikumar and Balakrishnan. Investigation is on for further evidence of bribery at the office.
