Coimbatore: Santhosh (26) was brutally murdered in Verekeralam by a gang of men.
Santhosh, a resident of Kumarasamy Colony near Thadagam was an astrologer by profession. It is reported that he was on his way in a two-wheeler along with his mother when a gang of men pushed him off the two-wheeler and attacked him brutally. They reportedly slit his throat, leaving him dead and his mother helpless. The police have retrieved his body and handed it over to the GH for post-mortem.
A special team has been formed for investigating this case. Upon investigation, it was found out that Santhosh along with his uncle was part of a political party but had left that party to join the BJP along with five others. This enraged his early party members who resorted to killing Santhosh brutally. Police are in the process of collecting evidence to nab the culprits.
