Chennai: Tamil Nadu CM through an official press note has extended his gratitude to Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, Nitin Gadkari who in his recent tweet assured of implementing the major project to link rivers Godavari and Cauvery that would resolve water issues between four southern states.

CM, Edapadi K Palanisamy on Saturday noted that implementation of the aforesaid project would resolve the water crisis and water-related issues of four States including TN, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
He thanked the Central Minister for extending his support in taking forward the project which would bring water till the tail end of Tamil Nadu.
Currently, around 1100 tmc ft of Godavari water gets drained into the sea, after linking the Godavari and Cauvery, the water could be saved and distributed to the four States.
