The Nilgiris: Even as the curtains come down on the Nilgiris Summer Festival, Sim's Park is hosting its 61st Fruit Show today and tomorrow.
This year, whole fruits were used for decorative purposes unlike the previous years where fruits were cut for exhibition which resulted in wastage of fruits.
Apart from Nilgiris, the Horticulture Departments from Krishnagiri, Dindigul, Kanyakumari, Salem, Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Erode, Theni, Dharmapuri, Tirunelveli, Trichy and Kadalur are also participating and showcasing their speciality through their fruits display.
