DMK Chief, M K Stalin who spearheaded the DMK-Congress alliance's thumping victory in the Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha polls took to Twitter to congratulate Modi saying, "I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his victory. We hope and wish he will provide a progressive government based on the principles of democracy and inclusivity."
M K Stalin's DMK is leading in 38 constituencies out of the 39 that went to polls and in the State assembly by-polls, DMK leads in 13, followed by AIADMK in 9. M K Stalin tweeted his thanks to the people of Tamil Nadu saying, "With folded hands, we accept the resounding victory given to the DMK alliance by the people of Tamil Nadu. During the next five years, we will work hard to fulfill the promises made and protect the interest of our state. We will always be the voice that protects the rights of the Tamil people!"
