Coimbatore : With the alliance candidate PR Natarajan leading by more than 60,000 votes, DMK cadre open celebrations in the city by distributing sweets in many parts of the city.
The DMK cadre distributed sweets and burst crackers as their candidate was leading the constituency since the first round.
Gaining in every round, Natarajan was leading his BJP counterpart by 63,776 votes by the end of ninth round.
While Natarajan has received 2,18,367 votes, BJP’s CP Radhakrishnan has received 1,54,601 votes.
Welcoming the results, DMK cadre distributed sweets near the DMK Office in North Coimbatore.
Sweets were given to public and commuters of buses. Celebrations also continued in Flower market area.
Meanwhile, the CPM Office at Gandhipuram was gearing up for celebrations.
