The postal ballots will be counted first and then the EVMs and control units would be brought to the counting tables by 7:30 am and counting would begin at 8 a.m.
Tirupur Lok Sabha Assembly includes six assembly constituencies such as North and South Tirupur, Perrundurai, Bhavani, Andhiyur and Gopi Chettipalayam.
The main candidates for the second phase of the election conducted on April 18 were MSM Anandhan from AIADMK, Subarayan of DMK allied CPI, S.R Selvam from Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam, Chandrakumar from Makkal Nedhi Mayam, Jagannathan from Naam Tamizhar Katchi and seven other independent candidates.
The electronic voting machine had a total of 13 buttons, 12 for the candidates and 1 for NOTA.
Out of a total of 15,29,830 voters of Tirupur Assembly 11,15,001 voters have franchised their votes, Out of which 5,66,400 male voters, 5,49,365 female voters and 28 transgender voters.
All the electronic vote machines were sealed on April 18 and kept in the strong rooms in LRG Women's Arts College with utmost safety and 24/7 surveillance.
This voting center has three tier security with surveillance cameras actively monitoring all entry and exit points. All the cameras will also closely monitor the voting process and election officer's room.
Vehicles apart from that of the electoral officers have been restricted a 100 meters away from the entrance of the college. There are also provisions for counting mail votes in the revenue officer's room.
The election commission has banned carrying cell phones inside the counting room. However, cell phones are permitted at the media centre.
