Karishma and her parents are residents of Gandhipuram. She used to go to a private school in an Auto Rickshaw. Recently, they shifted to Kulathupalayam, a place near Kunniamuthur.
According to Police reports, Auto Driver, Mathiyazhagan has made several attempts in the past to kidnap Karishma. However, four days before he succeeded in kidnapping the girl.
Karishma's parents filed a police complaint at Kuniamuthur police station.
The special team formed to nab the auto driver, caught hold of him, today. The police registered a case and booked the auto driver under POCSO act.
