The Nilgiris LS constituency consists of six assembly segments - Ooty, Coonoor, Gudalur (SC), Mettuplayam, Avinashi (SC) and Bhavanisagar (SC).
Out of the 13,65,608 voters, 10,06,262 voters had cast their votes in the Nilgiris constituency. Amidst tight security, the voting counting process will commence shortly with the counting of postal votes.
District Collector, J Inncocent Divya inspected the arrangements at the counting centre and the security measures are being supervised by SP, Shanmuga Priya.
Former Minister A. Raja, from DMK, M. Thiyagarajan from AIADMK, N. Rajendran from Makkal Needhi Maiam and M. Ramasamy from Amma Makkal Munnetra Kalagam are the main contestants from Nilgiris Constituency.
