Coimbatore : On account of Anti terrorism day observed on May 21, Coimbatore Corporation staff took the anti-terrorism day pledge. In India, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's death anniversary is observed as Anti-terrorism day.
The staff at CCMC took the pledge at Victoria hall in the CCMC building in the presence of Deputy Commissioner, Prasanna Ramasamy.
"We the people of India having faith in non- violence and tolerance, here by solemnly oppose with our strength all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values”.
CCMC officials from different all zones took part in the event.
