Coimbatore: As it is the final day of the Ooty Flower Show, heavy vehicles from Mettupalayam to the Nilgiris are suspended at the Mettupalayam check post to avoid the traffic.
The Nilgiris is hosting the World famous Flower Show for the past five days. To witness the beauty of it, both domestic and foreign tourists have poured in. As a result of it, there is unusual traffic at the hills especially at Mettupalayam which is the entry to the hill is facing traffic issues during the season time because of the short roads thus creating nuisance not only for the residents but also for the tourists. As today is the last day, it is expected to have more crowd, especially from the hills to Mettupalayam.
And so the traffic police has decided to halt the heavy vehicles for the day making it convenient for the tourists to return.
