Tirupur : Re-polling at booth 248 Thirumangalam near Kangeyam in Tirupur district commenced today at the Vellakoil Panchayat Union Primary School.
During the first phase of Parliamentary elections on April 18, due to discrepancies in eliminating the sample votes polled in EVMs, the election commission ordered re-polling in polling booth 248 in Thirumangalam, of Erode lok sabha constituency, along with 12 other polling booths across Tamil Nadu on May 19.
With a total of 918 votes, the Erode constituency election officials are holding the re-polls at the Vellakoil PU primary school.
