A release from the election officer states that 212 paramilitary personnel and 3423 personnel from police force will be part of the security arrangements for smooth conduct of elections across all 324 booths of Sulur assembly constituency which will go for polling on May 19.

Voting machines and all required documents will reach the respective polling booths by tonight, he said.
The election officer also apprised that 1800 staff will be on election duty and all necessary arrangements like drinking water, food, refreshments and restroom facilities have been carried out across all booths.

Out of the 102 postal voting cards sent to retired government officials and 76 to ex servicemen, 14 postal cards have been received from retired government officials, he noted.
