Coimbatore : Coimbatore Forest personnel on Saturday arrested four people for illegally entering the reserve forest near Narasipuram and fined them.
Coimbatore : Coimbatore Forest personnel on Saturday arrested four people for illegally entering the reserve forest near Narasipuram and fined them.
The accused identified as Abubakkar (52), Vijayakumar (42), James (35) and Pravin Kumar (30), were arrested and fined a sum of Rs. 25,000 each.
According to sources, forest personnel were on patrol inside the reserve near the Vaidheki Falls, when the four were roaming inside.
Since the area is restricted for anybody, the men were immediately detained and were enquired by police personnel.
Notably, the area was being heavily searched by police personnel suspecting Maoist movement.
The four men were let out after interrogation.
