According to Thangavel (44), a sanitary worker worker with the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC), he had bought a beer bottle at the tasmac outlet no. 1456 in Pankaja mills.
When he checked the bottle, he had found algae like dust inside it and had entered into an argument with the seller following poor response from them.
Thangavel was given support by fellow drunkards at the outlet who reprimanded the personnel at the outlet.
“It could have been dangerous had I consumed it. The products that came with this should also be checked,” he said claiming that officials did not listen to their pleas.
