In order to give a visual feast to the visitors, a parliament model is being made at 23 feet high and 89 feet wide using 1.25 lakh flowers.
A five feet high and 12 feet wide flower basket is also being made using four tons of flowers to attract visitors.
Gagandeep Singh Bedi, Agriculture Production Commissioner and Principal Secretary to State, would be heading the inaugural function. District Collector Innocent Divya and Director of Horticulture and Hill Crops Department Subbiyan would also participate.
More than 1000 policemen from various districts have been deployed in the area for security purposes.
The five days event will end on the 21st, when Governor Purohit would distribute awards to the winners.
